Jesus Sends (Matthew 10:1-15)

  • What did Jesus mean by the statement – The Kingdom of Heaven has come near (v7)?
  • The Greek word for apostle means one sent as a messenger. What did Jesus send his disciples to do? (See, for example — Matthew 10:6-8 and 28:18-20; Mark 3:14-15 and 6:7-13; Luke 9:1-6)

Dangerous Faith (Matthew 10:16-31)

  • Have you ever experienced persecution for being a Christian?
  • Research how you can support Christians around the world who are suffering because of their faith.

  • What did Jesus mean when he said, “I did not come to bring peace…”(v34)?
  • What does the Bible teach us about hospitality? Why is it important?
  • Did you experience any rejection from your family and friends after you chose to follow Jesus?
